GREEN CHEMISTRY AREAS

  1. Synthetic Routes of low environmental impact: An important field of Green Chemistry is to provide new syntheses that reduce, as a whole, the intensive use of raw materials, energy and feedstocks specially those that are more toxic or difficult to treat.
  2. Substitution of organic solvents: One of the areas of greater investigating activity is about dissolvent that are not inflammable, neither toxic nor they produce transmissions of VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
  3. "Green" reagents: The substitution of dangerous reagents by more benign others is a basic objective of Green Chemistry.
  4. Safetier chemical agents: The innovations in this area are oriented to reduce the toxicity of a molecule without losing the effectiveness of their function.
  5. Renewable raw materials: One of the objectives of Green Chemistry is the use of raw materials that have no effects on the people or the environment.
