What is Green Chemistry?

Green Chemistry, also denominated Chemical Sustainable, is chemistry for the prevention of contamination. It has been defined as the design and use of chemical substances and manufacturing processes that reduce or eliminate the use of products that generate substances that are dangerous for the environment or the human health.

Green Chemistry, in its different slopes from R+D+I, is a present, innovating scientific scope and in fast development around the world. Green Chemistry also uses chemical principles that guarantee not only the profit economic objectives of the industries, but also the objectives of environmental quality. In this sense, Green Chemistry plays an important role to reduce the contamination and simultaneously to assure the industrial competitive development.
